The Whale Tail Window is 10-3/4″ in diameter, and is constructed using the copper foil (Tiffany) method, framed with lead in the traditional style, and fitted with rings for hanging.

Each of the 7 pieces of glass is carefully chosen for its color and texture. Each piece is individually cut, ground to size, and the edges are dressed. The edges of each piece are wrapped in copper foil, which is then burnished. The pieces are soldered together, a lead frame in affixed and rings are attached for the hanger. As the final step, the window panel is thoroughly cleaned and waxed.
