Description
The Majestic Mountain Stained Glass Window was inspired by the beautiful snow-capped mountain ranges and canyons found in Utah, but it seems to remind folks of their favorite mountain range – no matter where that is. You can almost smell the pines!
The Majestic Mountain is 13″ in diameter, and is constructed using the copper foil (Tiffany) method, framed and fitted with a hanger.
Each of the 49 pieces of glass is carefully chosen for its color and texture. Each piece is individually cut, ground to size, and the edges are dressed. The edges of each piece are wrapped in copper foil, which is then burnished. The pieces are soldered together, a zinc frame in affixed and rings are attached for the hanger. After inspection and cleaning a black patina is applied, and then polished. As the final step the window panel is thoroughly cleaned and waxed.
Each window panel is a unique work of art; the image shown is a general representation of the finished item, but colors will vary slightly.
