In nature the Golden Poppy (Eschscholtzia californica) blooms most heavily from March to May. But you can enjoy its stunning beauty regardless of the season with the Golden Poppy Stained Glass Window Panel.
The Golden Poppy, also know as the California Poppy, California Golden Poppy, or the flame flower, can be found all across the United States. In 1903 it became the state flower of California.
Each of the 34 pieces of glass is carefully chosen for its color and texture. Each piece is individually cut, ground to size, and the edges are dressed. The edges of each piece are wrapped in copper foil, which is then burnished. The pieces are soldered together, a zinc frame in affixed and rings are attached for the hanger. After inspection and cleaning a black patina is applied, and then polished. As the final step, the window panel is thoroughly cleaned and waxed.
The Stained Glass Golden Poppy WIndow measure 10-1/4″ wide x 19-1/2″ tall.
Each window panel is a unique work of art; the image shown is a general representation of the finished item, but colors will vary slightly.
