This window design was inspired by my love of Frank Lloyd Wright’s designs!
The Frank Lloyd Wright window is handcrafted using the copper foil (Tiffany) method. Each of the 19 pieces of glass is individually cut and ground to size, and the edges are dressed. The edges of each piece are wrapped in copper foil, which is then burnished. The glass pieces are soldered together, the zinc frame and the hangers are affixed. As the final step, each window is thoroughly cleaned and waxed.
A stained glass window panel designed to bring light and inspiration to any window in your home.
Starting with the hand-blown rondel – a circular piece of blown glass spun into a circular shape – I designed the rest of the piece around it. The dimensionality and bubbles of the rondel contribute to the distinctive beauty of the final piece.
The Five Moon Phases Stained Glass Window features the waxing crescent, waxing gibbous, full, waning gibbous, and waning crescent phases of the moon, and is available in several color variations: iridescent black & iridescent white glass; iridescent bronze & iridescent amber glass; and slate blue and white streaky & iridescent white glass.
